Overview
Oct. 16th, 2010, with the support from Belgium Consulate General in Shanghai, Don Gallery proudly launches “God is a Circle”, the second solo exhibition by Belgium artist Lore Vanelslande.
The Belgium born artist Lore Vanelslande, who graduated from Royal Academy of Fine Art, came to Shanghai 3 years ago to continue her art career. The series “God is a Circle” is her most recent work pieces. The artist creates a visual harmony by her precise, delicate and colorful circle patterns. Geometry has always been reflecting Lore’s interpretation of numbers, codes, philosophy and religion. Still, Lore never imposes her own thoughts upon the audience. Instead, she invites the audience into her world of art and to get spiritual nutrition. Meanwhile, the artist can obtain her internal serenity by the repeated hand drawing process. That is to say, God is a circle.
