Overview
In the beginning of the dragon year, Chorus II, by featuring Chen Yun, Lu Tianyang, Shao Kai, Lore Vanelslande and ZAKA, will be the first show by Don Gallery in 2012.

Chen Yun from Shanghai has been active in the contemporary art circle since 2006. She participated the Infantisation in 2007, Trans Local Motion in 2008 and Art Nova 100 in 2011. Her digital art works have evolved to be bold in style and imagination, subtle and colorful in production, and mysterious in arrangement. The Chorus II will be the first time to release her new work The Beginning and the end of the Story. Compared with her previous works, the new one will show more sophistication and dreaming. 5 other paintings on paper will be shown together. As clear and pure as herself, her paintings will lead you to a fantasy world.

Lu Tianyang and Shao Kai’s new work focused on urbanites’ emotion by various forms. Lu Tianyang’s Ladder series used plates, elevator and floating to metaphor the sense of security and fullness of people in the vainness. Shao Kai’s work used fieldwork method to empty the pockets of people, then he painted all the items in the pockets. All these items honestly stated the owner’s identity and story. Shao Kai also took this opportunity to grow up from a post-1985 youth who feels distant to the world.

Lore Vanelslande, the Belgian artist, proceeds to a new stage of creation after God is a Circle show. This time, she will give several new works in her transition period. The theme will be the exchange of energy and cosmic information. These works will be the prologue of her third solo show in the second half of 2012.

Anonymous Artist ZAKA will present a series of photography Spring Expectation. This work borrowed Zhu Da’s masterpiece Spring Expectation and employed cost-effective material to make deer into sculpture which also communicates with the public space.
